showcasing Scotland’s natural larder

We are proud to have a rigorous supply chain policy and procurement processes and procedures in place that add real value to all of our clients. Our policy, processes and procedures are continually reviewed, evaluated and updated in accordance with our evolving ESG strategy and programmes.

We believe in working in partnership with our supplier to build relationships that are built on honesty, transparency, trust, and integrity. We work together with our suppliers to continually identify ways to improve our offering through new food trends and products whilst identifying ways to reduce costs for our clients.

At Wilde Thyme we have a long-standing relationship with trusted suppliers, growers and farmers across Scotland.

We firmly believe in creating circular economies and as part of our commitment in our ESG framework and associated SDGs; which is why we use the very best of Scotland’s natural larder and incorporate local suppliers from the area of events we are catering for as part of our commitment to supporting the communities in which we operate. Our quality assurance team will vet all potential suppliers and if they pass our audit we will then add the supplier to our Wilde Thyme approved supply chain list. This is one of the differentiators between us and our competitors.

We believe in the power of purpose driven procurement:

  • Supporting a circular economy in the regions we operate in.

  • Supporting a diverse supply chain.

  • Reducing greenhouse gas emissions – less food miles = less carbon footprint.

  • Using fresh local produce increases the nutritional value for our customers. By using local suppliers this help maximise nutritional value and enhances the integrity and quality of the ingredients we use.

Supplier diversity is a fundamental and integral part of our commitment as a global citizen under our ESG framework.

Ethical Procurement

Entier (Wilde Thyme) is committed to ethical procurement across our supply chain.

Our aim is to support local communities by always buying local, regional or Scottish produce.

Entier will also offer products from organic or fairtrade sources where available and cost effective to offer our clients and customers to purchase.

Further to the sourcing of products from these sources, we are also committed to promoting ethical practices throughout our operations.

This policy outlines our approach to ethical procurement, specifically focusing on locally sourced food, fairtrade, and organic.

We buy the very best from our amazing Scottish suppliers
