I love ribs.
They’re the ultimate comfort food, and I’ve made the mistake of eating too many of them.
But I’m not always able to get a good bite.
This recipe for BBQ ribs from the book, Barbecue Heaven, has proven a lifesaver.
Here’s how to make it. 1.
Make the sauce: In a small saucepan, heat 2 cups of the Worcestershire sauce over medium-high heat.
Once the sauce starts to bubble, add the onion and garlic and cook, stirring constantly, until the onion is softened, about 4 minutes.
Add the Worcs sauce, bring to a boil, and reduce to a simmer, stirring frequently, until reduced to 1/4 cup.
Add in the chicken broth, cover, and cook on low for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add barbecue meat: In the same small sauce pan, heat 3 tablespoons of the BBQ sauce over low heat.
Remove from heat, set aside, and allow to sit until the meat is done, about 5 minutes.
Preheat grill: Heat a grill pan over medium heat.
Lightly grease the grill pan.
Place 1 pound of ground beef, about 1 inch thick on the grill, and season with salt and pepper.
Grill until browned and cooked through, about 6 minutes per side.
Recipe Notes This recipe is best served with potatoes.
If you’re a vegetarian, you may need to cut back on the amount of BBQ sauce you add to the meat.
